Our Story

We want to make a difference to lives, to improve them by harnessing our technology to accelerate research and lower costs in the development of therapeutic drugs, vaccines and diagnostics.

Leaf Expression Systems started out as Prof. George Lomonossoff and Dr Frank Sainsbury’s research, which soon developed into a viable process for producing useful proteins and is today a growing company with the capability of producing products life sciences and agri industries.

It all started in 2007 in Prof. Lomonossoff’s lab in the John Innes Centre, in Norwich.
